From a young child I had passion and love for animals and the sciences. This led me to a career in the animal medical field. In 1995, I graduated from St. Clair College and received the award for clinical excellence. Shortly afterwards I moved to Barbados and was the first registered veterinary technician on the island. I worked in a mixed animal practice there. Our patients were primarily horses, dogs and cats. After six years there, I met my hubby and we came back to live in Ontario. At that time, I started working in a referral hospital in the emergency and critical care department. I later branched out into surgery as well. In 2012 I was ready for a change and started working here at Bowmanville Veterinary Clinic. I have worked both full and part time over the years. I was away for a while, after having my two beautiful daughters, Eliana (8) and Adelyn (5), as I stayed at home with them! I am glad to be back and wouldn't want to work anywhere else!
