Celebrating 50 Years!

It’s important that every pet that comes through our doors we treat as our own. We treat them like family, like ours, like our own.”  Diane McGill, RVT

This year we’re taking some time to celebrate and take stock of how far we’ve come as a team and as a veterinary practice. We especially want to thank all of our amazing clients, friends, and families – including the four-legged, feathered, and scaled family members!

Few people remember all the changes at our hospital over the years as much as Diane McGill. Diane, a registered veterinary technician, has been a pivotal member of our team for 38 of those 50 years! In fact, Diane was a technician before there was such a thing as ‘registered’ in 1994 when she completed those examinations and became one of the first to be credentialed.

“I remember my first day of my interview,” recalls Diane. “I walked [into the back room that’s storage area now, and at the time housed the baby calves] and it was kind of like ‘Oh my goodness, there is work for me to do here.’ Then we had an epiphany – one weekend we went to a rehab seminar for animal rehabilitation and [said] we can better utilize this space. So we changed it, changed the backroom into a nutrition shelving and rehab place.”

We can’t wait to share some exciting activities we have planned and memories we’ll share throughout the year.  Stay tuned for more!
