I graduated from Centralia College in 1979 in the veterinary technician program and obtained my Registered Veterinary Technician status as soon as it was introduced in the late 1980's. I have a special interest in nursing care, nutrition and dentistry, but enjoy all aspects of the veterinary field. I will have been part of the BVC team for 30 year in August. What has kept me here so long? I love the clinics dedication to excellent animal care, progressive medicine and the nurturing of the human-animal bond. The staff at the clinic are like my second family and it is wonderful to be able to share my love of animals with all of them. Outside of work I love being outdoors and hiking with my girl Kenzie, a wonderful 5 year old Siberian Husky. My daughter now owns a French Bulldog who we all adore and who joins Kenzie and I on many occasions for walks through the woods. She actually thinks she is a big dog which is so typical of her breed. I also love horseback riding and gardening. I live in a rural area with my husband, Brian and two daughters, Julia and Andrea. Along with Kenzie I also share my house with Gideon a very independent Domestic Short Haired cat. My barn is home to three horses, a very special Miniature donkey named Harriet and six gorgeous and well loved barn cats.
I was also honored to receive the 2007 R.V.T. of the year award. Although I have been at the clinic for almost 30 years I have no intention of retiring yet. There is still something new to learn everyday. I love this job!!!
