I graduated from Centralia College in 1979 in the Veterinary Technician program and obtained my Registered Vet Tech Status as soon as it was introduced in the late 1980s. I enjoy all aspects of the veterinary field and have been part of the BVC team for over 35 years. What has kept me here so long? I love the clinic's dedication to excellent animal care, progressive medicine, and nurturing the human-animal bond. My co-workers at BVC are like a second family to me and it is wonderful to be able to share my love of animals with all of them.
Outside of work I continue my love of animals in most aspects of my life. I am an avid hiker and now enjoy these walks with my awesome, young Australian Cattle dog named Austin. We also run a family farm and it has chickens, cattle, and a retired Show Jumper horse named Pheonix, as well as a precocious donkey named Harriet. In my free time, I also enjoy riding and competing in show jumping with my current horse named Orion.
I was honored to be named RVT technician of the year several years ago. Although I have been at the clinic for over 35 years I am not ready to retire just yet! There is still something new to learn every day and I continue to love my job.
