I am honoured to be a part of this magnificent team. I graduated from York University with a Bachelor's degree in 1992 and began a career in Finance Administration, but my true passion came calling and I began working here in June 2004. It is a pleasure to work in an environment dedicated to the health and well-being of animals and to work with such an amazing, compassionate caring group of people. All of the staff here understand and appreciate the human-animal bond and work tirelessly to promote and strengthen that bond.
I am also the Vice-Chair of the Safe Families Safe Pets Network-Durham; the purpose of the Network is to provide safe housing for the pets of women entering the VAW (Violence Against Women) shelter system.
I also enjoy nursing stray and injured wildlife back to health, my family jokes they never know what I am going to bring home from work, I say it's the perks of my job! I am delighted to share my home with my dogs MacTavish, Enya, my cat Pierce, Amazon Parrot Dorian and Cockatiel Stefaan as well as my husband Liam and son Eamonn. If you ever have any questions or comments please contact me or stop in for a chat.
