Karin Klich, RVT
I recently graduated the Veterinary Technician program at Georgian College in Orillia in 2013, and obtained my full registration status that same year. When I lived in Orillia I volunteered at Stonegate Farms, which is a therapeutic horse riding farm for disabled children, and I loved seeing the healing power of the human-animal bond. I did both of my placements at the Bowmanville Veterinary Clinic, in 2012, and 2013 and was hired shortly after in June 2013, and I absolutely love it (not only the clinic but the people in it). The best part of being a Veterinary Technician is that you are constantly learning something new all of the time, not only from peers, but also from the clients. My favorite parts of being a vet tech are being able to participate in surgical procedures, lab work, as well as getting to see all the different critters that come in to our doors, and it certainly does not stop there.
I currently live on my own, with my two cats Maddy, and Henry, as well as my two rats Ophelia and Sage. I am looking forward to moving into a house in the country and expanding my animal family with a couple dogs, and some horses too.
